For most of Greece, this weekend looks to bring clear skies.

The exception will be in eastern Aegean islands, the Dodecanese, and potentially the eastern Cyclades and eastern Crete. These areas will wake up to cloudy skies and local rain on Saturday. Sporadic storms will change things up, especially in the southernmost islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese during the morning hours. These phenomena will gradually fade as the day progresses, leaving calmer skies in their wake.

Elsewhere across the country, it’s a story of sunshine and serenity. Most regions will enjoy generally clear skies, though some areas may see temporary local clouds during the morning and evening hours. There may be reduced visibility in parts of the mainland during these times with some fog rolling in.

In regards to winds, in the north, expect a steady breeze from the north at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening locally to 5 Beaufort in the afternoon. For the rest of the country, winds will shift gradually from variable directions to northerly, reaching up to 5 Beaufort as well. In the Aegean, they’ll start out from the south but will turn northwesterly later in the day, intensifying up to 6 Beaufort.

Expect a mild boost in temperatures in central and northern regions, with highs ranging from 15–16°C in the north to a balmy 19°C in spots like the Cyclades, Crete, and the Dodecanese.

Looking ahead to Sunday, most of the country will bask in clear weather, though the east may see some morning clouds. In the west, clouds will gather in the afternoon, bringing light rain in isolated areas.
