Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has congratulated the Democratic Rally (DISY) and its leader Annita Demetriou following their success in Cyprus’ recent parliamentary elections.
In a message posted on social media, Mitsotakis described DISY as remaining the clear leading political force in the country. He also said the election result reflected a choice for stability by Cypriot voters, highlighting what he viewed as the central message delivered through the ballot box.
The Greek premier extended his best wishes to the members of the newly elected House of Representatives and wished them success in their work.
Mitsotakis concluded by reaffirming the close relationship between Greece and Cyprus, stating that Greece “stands firmly by your side.” His message underscored the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
