A 14-year-old girl who was found injured and unconscious on a street while out singing Christmas carols was hurt in an accident involving an electric scooter, according to updated information from authorities.

The teenager was taken to a children’s hospital after being discovered early in the morning by a nurse on her way to work. The nurse immediately provided first aid and contacted emergency medical services, which transported the girl to hospital for treatment.

Initial reports suggested the girl had been struck by a car whose driver fled the scene. However, after regaining consciousness, the teenager explained that she had found an electric scooter left switched on on a sidewalk, used it, and then fell, hitting her head.

Doctors confirmed that she suffered head lacerations and was admitted to the neurosurgical ward for monitoring. Hospital officials said her condition is stable and does not cause concern.

The girl remains hospitalized as a precaution, with her mother and siblings at her side, while authorities have been informed of the incident.
