Burglars targeted the southeast Athens residence of AEK Athens striker Steven Zuber this week, reportedly taking four watches valued at 200,000 euros and also valuable jewelry.

According to the Swiss international, he found his residence in the upscale coastal district of Glyfada broken into on Monday. In fact, Zuber appears to have arrived at his home while an intruder or intruders were still there or had departed minutes earlier.

Police canvassed other residences and businesses in the specific area looking for CCTV footage and other forensic evidence.

Zuber has enjoyed a highly successful run with AEK since arriving for the pro football club in August 2021, including stellar performances in last season’s playoff round.
