Μake us preferred on Google Greek police have arrested eight people, aged between 16 and 28, in connection with an drug trafficking organization operating in Thessaloniki.
According to the investigation, members of the group stored drugs in their homes and used rental cars to distribute the substances to buyers in different parts of the regional unit of Thessaloniki.
Cannabis and cocaine seized
On the afternoon of September 17, 2026, police officers spotted a 16-year-old leaving the home of a 28-year-old in Pylaia, an area of Thessaloniki.
During a subsequent search, officers found two packages containing a total of 2.06 kilograms of cannabis and one package containing 104 grams of cocaine, which police said the teenager intended to sell.
At the home where the 28-year-old was arrested, officers also seized €800 in cash, a collapsible metal baton and two mobile phones.
Police then searched another home in the same area where foreign members of the organization were living.
A young Greek woman was seen leaving the property after allegedly purchasing a small quantity of cannabis.
More drugs and equipment found
Inside the home and on the people arrested, police found and seized:
- 545 packages of raw cannabis, weighing a total of 1,384.70 grams
- 13 packages of processed cannabis, weighing a total of 1,158 grams
- A large number of empty nylon packages believed to be intended for distributing the drugs
- Two folding knives
- A precision electronic scale
- Five mobile phones
- €450 in cash
Police said the suspects face, depending on their individual circumstances, charges related to participation in a criminal organization, as well as violations of Greece’s drug and weapons laws.
The arrested individuals are expected to be brought before the competent judicial authorities.
