A 68-year-old farmer was killed in northern Greece after the tractor he was driving overturned during agricultural work, trapping him beneath the vehicle.
The fatal accident occurred in the village of Strymoniko, in the regional unit of Serres, while the man was working in his field.
According to local reports, the tractor overturned for reasons that have not yet been determined, pinning the farmer underneath.
His wife became concerned when he failed to return home and alerted fellow villagers, who went to search for him. They found him trapped beneath the overturned tractor and unresponsive.
Residents attempted to free him and called the Fire Service and the National Center for Emergency Care (EKAB).
Firefighters were required to extricate the man from beneath the vehicle, but he was recovered dead at the scene.
