A video that went viral on Greek-language video on Monday purportedly shows a police squad car transporting a …refrigerator in the car’s open trunk.
According to users who commented on the video, posted on Tik Tok, the location where the cruiser is traveling is the working-class west Athens district of Kamatero.
A later probe, reports in Ta Nea state, revealed that the vehicle is assigned to the traffic police unit based in the nearby Nea Ionia district and that during the time the video was shot was reported as being “off-duty”.
The police officer assigned the vehicle has reportedly been officially summoned to provide an explanation over the bizarre scene. Until then, the officer is suspended.
