Greek authorities have arrested a 46-year-old man in Holargos following an investigation into child sexual abuse material, police said.

The suspect was taken into custody after law enforcement traced online activity flagged by Europol, which identified a user in Greece uploading illegal content to an online platform.

Investigators also noted that the man had organized cycling activities for minors in mountainous areas and shared related material through an online group he had created.

During a search of the man’s home, officers seized four hard drives containing approximately 170 image and video files depicting the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, according to authorities.

Officials said the material involved minors from other countries and formed part of a broader international investigation.

This is the second time the suspect has been arrested in connection with similar allegations. He was previously detained in 2013 and was reportedly released under restrictive conditions.

The 46-year-old is expected to appear before judicial authorities.
