Three women stole €40,000 and a watch from a home on the Greek island of Spetses before fleeing by sea taxi in a coordinated escape that ended with the arrest of all six people involved.
The robbery took place Saturday afternoon, September 5, when the three women entered a residence on Spetses and took the money and watch.
Escape by sea taxi
After the robbery, the women left Spetses by sea taxi, heading to Kosta, a coastal area on the nearby mainland.
From there, they reportedly took a taxi to Lygourio, where another vehicle was waiting for them.
Three men were inside the car, and the women continued their escape with them.
Six people arrested
Authorities immediately launched an operation involving the Spetses Police Department and the police departments of Ermionida and Epidavros.
Following a coordinated effort, all six people involved were located and arrested.
The suspects are being held in Nafplio and were expected to appear before the competent prosecutor on Sunday, September 6.
