The 2026 Acropolis Rally begins at 7:05 pm, on Thursday June 25, with the EKO Super Special Stage at The Ellinikon Sports Park, marking the official start of one of the most demanding events on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar.
The 1.86-kilometre asphalt stage, featuring a parallel layout, will provide the first competitive action of the rally and is expected to deliver striking images that will be broadcast to audiences around the world.
Immediately after the completion of the Super Special Stage, crews will depart from the Port of Corinth for Itea aboard the Superfast IV. The sea transfer reintroduces Greece’s maritime element into the rally’s structure for the first time in more than three decades, adding a distinctive touch to this year’s event.
Following the Athens opener, competitors face three days of intense competition across 16 further special stages spread between Central Greece and the Peloponnese.
In Central Greece, crews will tackle the stages of Voxites, Parnassos, Steiri, Helikon and Thebes, while the Peloponnese route includes Gymno, Kollines, Mainalo, Kefalari, Agioi Theodoroi—part of which extends into Attica—and Loutraki.
A notable feature of this year’s itinerary is the inclusion of the new Kollines and Mainalo special stages. Their addition marks the return of Arcadia to the Acropolis Rally after an absence of nearly four decades, bringing a historic rallying region back into the spotlight.
With a high-profile opening in Athens, a unique sea crossing and a demanding route across some of Greece’s most iconic rally terrain, the 2026 Acropolis Rally promises a compelling mix of spectacle, tradition and sporting challenge.
