Israel continued to pound the capital of Iran, Tehran, on Monday, targeting military and government infrastructure, including the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Israel said it holds full control over the airspace above Tehran. Given the Israeli Air Force’s ability to carry out multiple strikes over the Iranian capital in recent days, this assertion appears largely consistent with the situation on the ground.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged the residents of Tehran to evacuate the city. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued an urgent warning, calling for the evacuation of a major neighborhood in the Iranian capital—an unprecedented move since the beginning of the conflict.
Iran’s foreign minister, Saeed Khatibzadeh, stated the Iranian military would punish “the war criminals hiding in the Tel Aviv bunkers,” vowing Iran would continue striking Israel if it did not stop attacking Iran. He stated if U.S. President Donald Trump was honest about reaching a diplomatic solution, the next steps were crucial.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the IDF had struck the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, Iran’s state television. The missile hit while a female anchor was live on air. It later became known she was not hurt, returning to the studio.

Iran is reportedly preparing its largest strike against Israel since the start of hostilities, warning Israeli citizens to evacuate parts of the country.
Asked by reporters at the G7 Summit about whether Iran was willing to negotiate, President Trump stated, “They’d like to talk, but they should have done that before. They had 60 days, and on the 61st day, I said we don’t have a deal—they have to make a deal. It’s painful for both parties, but I’d say Iran is NOT.”
