U.S. President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform early Tuesday to post a series of AI-generated images and social media messages emphasizing his ambitions to acquire Greenland.

One image depicted Trump in Greenland holding a U.S. flag, while another showed him speaking alongside leaders including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, next to a map depicting Canada and Greenland as part of the United States.

In addition to the AI images, Trump shared private messages, including one from French President Emmanuel Macron and another from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Trump described his call with Rutte as “very good” regarding Greenland and confirmed a planned meeting at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, without specifying the participants.

“As I expressed to everyone, very plainly, Greenland is imperative for National and World Security. There can be no going back—On that, everyone agrees!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

A NATO official confirmed the authenticity of the message from Rutte, signaling that the communications were genuine.
