This March, the City of Athens is offering free guided tours of historic and archaeological sites, museums, and cultural and artistic spaces across the capital.
Residents and visitors alike can discover Athens through themed walks and organized visits, in collaboration with the Athens Association of Licensed Guides.
The program includes tours of iconic archaeological sites such as the Ancient Agora and Aristotle’s Lyceum, walks through the historic center and the hills surrounding the Acropolis, and themed routes exploring Byzantine, Ottoman, and modern Athens.
In addition, visitors can enjoy guided visits to major museums, including the Benaki Museum, the National Gallery, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the Numismatic Museum, and the Alekos Fassianos Museum. Special interest tours are also offered, covering architecture, philosophy, street art, and historical lectures.
Each tour has specific dates, times, and meeting points, with a limited number of participants. To reserve a spot, interested individuals can call 6976897493, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
