Multi-awarded Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film Kinds of Kindness debuts this week in Greek open-air cinemas. This follows its premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 17, where Jesse Plemons, one of its protagonists, won the Best Actor Award.

Lanthimos’s latest feature, co-written with Efthimis Filippou, is a triptych fable consisting of three independent stories, each delving into themes such as power, loss, religion, cannibalism, and debauchery. The cast members portray different roles in each segment. The first story follows a man trying to break free from his powerful boss, while the second tale revolves around a man who suspects that his recently returned wife, who had gone missing, is an imposter. The final story centers on a woman tasked with finding a prodigious spiritual leader.
