Μake us preferred on Google THE123 art gallery in the center of Athens is hosting a limited series of summer workshops on the pottery mending practice of kintsugi. In the workshops, participants will be working with handmade ceramics and discovering this meditative artform stemming from Japanese culture.
This ancient method of mending broken pottery uses precious metals in a paste-like lacquer, accentuating the piece’s cracks. Kintsugi calls each practitioner to embrace the cracks and imperfections, seeing the beauty in an imperfect world.
