Prime Minster of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’rouf Amin to the Maximos Mansion in downtown Athens, Friday, ahead of the two countries’ 75th anniversary of bilateral relations, to explore areas of common interest and ways of working together.

Some of the key topics discussed between the two related to mutually shared economic priorities such as tourism and the blue economy, as well as the need for stability in the Middle East through political solutions.

According to reports at Athens News Agency, Mitsotakis invited Indonesia to participate in the much anticipated “Our Ocean Conference,” to be held in Greece in the spring of 2024.

The Greek PM also expressed his condolences for the causalities sustained from the bombing of the Indonesian hospital located in Gaza, and highlighted the importance of respecting humanitarian law and conducting humanitarian pauses in the conflict.
