A deadly traffic accident occurred on Monday in the region of Corinthia, southern Greece, claiming the life of one man and leaving two others seriously injured. The crash happened on the Chiliomodi–Koutalas provincial road, a rural route known for sharp turns and limited visibility.
According to reports from Korinthostv.gr, the pickup truck carrying three people skidded off the road due to the slippery surface and crashed into an olive tree. The collision was so severe that one of the passengers died instantly.
Firefighters arrived quickly to free those trapped inside the vehicle, while paramedics from Greece’s emergency service (EKAV) transported the injured to Corinth Hospital for treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash, though poor road conditions and rainfall are believed to have played a key role in the tragedy.
