Looking for a last-minute Sunday activity? Do you think your garden/balcony deserves a bit of a makeover? Do you simply like looking at pretty flowers? Then the annual “Flower Show” in the northern suburb of Kifissia is the place to be!

The event takes place every spring in Kifissia’s Grove, a stretch of land filled with picturesque greenery and cozy sitting areas. Organized by the Municipality of Kifissia for the past 70 years, the event transforms the grove into a colorful marketplace for a few weeks, with local producers setting up stands to sell flowers they have been growing the past year. From familiar blossoms like roses and daisies, to rarer sights like strawflowers and cockscomb flowers, the event houses hundreds of different plants both to admire and add to your personal collection. Experienced producers are ready to help you find the plant that best fits your needs and give you all the information necessary to care for them.

Apart from the actual flower displays, the event holds several daily activities for children and adults alike, including shadow puppet shows, dance and music performances as well as plant caretaking workshops.

Even if you’re not interested in buying anything, the walk through the beautiful greenery is worth the visit!
