On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Greece will see a return of unstable weather, with rain and thunderstorms expected in many areas — strongest in the west. Early in the day, showers and storms, locally intense, will affect the Ionian Islands and Epirus. From midday, heavy rainfall is likely across the southern Ionian Sea, Epirus, and western mainland Greece. Localized showers will also occur in Macedonia, the Dodecanese, and later in Thessaly, central mainland Greece, and northwestern Peloponnese. Dust concentrations will remain elevated over western, southern, and eastern parts of the country.
Temperatures will remain close to seasonal averages, ranging from 10°C to 15°C in western Macedonia, 9°C to 21°C in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace, 12°C to 20°C in Thessaly, and 11°C to 18°C in Epirus. In central Greece and the Peloponnese, values will reach 24°C, while the Ionian Islands will range from 17°C to 20°C. Across the Aegean, temperatures will be between 12°C and 21°C in the north, 13°C to 23°C in the Cyclades, 19°C to 23°C in the Dodecanese, and up to 25°C in Crete.
Winds in the central and northern Aegean will blow from southern directions at 2–4 Beaufort, while in the southern Aegean they will shift from southwest to west at similar strengths. In the Ionian Sea, southerly winds will prevail at 3–5 Beaufort.
In Athens, cloudy skies are expected throughout the day with light southwesterly winds up to 3 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 17°C to 20°C.
In Thessaloniki, clouds will dominate with temporary, localized showers. Winds will be light and variable, up to 3 Beaufort, with temperatures between 15°C and 19°C.
