Μake us preferred on Google Street Mode Festival will return to Thessaloniki on September 12 and 13 for its 14th edition, bringing two days of music and street culture to the city’s former municipal slaughterhouses.
The festival will take place for the second consecutive year at the Palaia Sfageia, also known as Labattoir, in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with street culture activities taking place across the venue’s indoor and outdoor spaces.

The music lineup will span two stages across the weekend.
On Saturday, September 12, the Frontstage will feature Ethismos, Stixima, Sponty and Kyklo, while the Backstage lineup will include Bad Movies, The Scratch, Omichli and Kotes.
Sunday’s Frontstage will feature French group Dub Inc, along with Koinoi Thnitoi, Anser and Sane. The Backstage will host 63 High, Frenzee, Australia’s Grim Rhythm and Embargo.
Music, however, will be only part of the festival’s program. Street artists from across Greece will take part in the event’s graffiti jam, which is returning for its 14th year. The festival is also inviting writers and street artists to participate, with applications open until August 15.
Street dance will take over the festival on both days. On Saturday, dance schools from Thessaloniki will present street dance performances, while Sunday will feature the festival’s established All-Styles Battle, a competition aimed at determining the year’s top dancer.
Parkour and freerunning will also return, with athletes performing tricks and competing in contests that will turn the festival grounds into an urban arena.
The festival will continue after the main stages close each night. The after-parties will move indoors, where the handmade sound system of 4 Dub Vibes will keep the music going into the late hours.
For visitors looking beyond music and performances, the Thrift Zone by Sold-Out Stores will offer second-hand clothing, records, prints, handmade creations and collectibles throughout the weekend. The market will be located inside the former slaughterhouse building.
