Yannis Kartalis is a columnist for Vima tis Kyriakis and, throughout his long journalistic career, has worked for Vima and, for a period, also for Nea. He began in the translation department and later became a political, diplomatic, and defense editor. He subsequently served as editor-in-chief of international issues and the supplement To Vima of Europe, before becoming Editorial Director and Publishing Consultant. Kartalis was also a member of the Board of Directors of DOL and of the first Board of Directors of ELIAMEP. Today, he serves on the Boards of the Athens Concert Hall and the “Friends of Music” Association. He studied Political Science and International Relations at the University of Grenoble and was a scholar of the Eisenhower Foundation. He is fluent in English and French.
