One of the world’s most popular fast food chains, McDonald’s has finally made it in Greece breaking all records this year and recovering from previous losses.

Developmental licensee for McDonald’s in Greece, Premier Capital Hellas announced this week that it plans to increase outlets to 50 from the current 32 and to construct a 4,000m2 distribution center budgeted at 7 million euros.

According to Premier Capital Hellas, McDonald’s shops in Greece managed to hit the 100 million sales milestone in 2023 for the first time. The company attributed the positive performance to the opening of new shops.

Turnover in 2023 increased by 26% over 2022, reaching 102.54 million euros and gross profit came to 39.58 million euros.

Premier Capital Hellas is a subsidiary of Premier Capital Plc, which also runs McDonald’s restaurants in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, and Romania.

The company currently operates 32 McDonald’s restaurants in Greece. It added seven new sales points in 2022 and 2023, plans to launch at least three new shops this year and 18 shops by 2028. Premier Capital’s investment plan is budgeted at 55 million euros.
