The Greek Police have announced that sections of Panepistimiou Street, a central artery in Athens, will be temporarily or partially closed to traffic between January 18 and February 18 due to planned road works.

As detailed in the announcement, a 30-meter segment of the right lane on Panepistimiou Street will be closed to facilitate upgrade works. Traffic will be rerouted to the remaining available lanes during this one-month period.

Motorists are advised to remain vigilant when passing through the work zones and to adhere to the temporary road markings and signage.

Panepistimiou Street, officially named Eleftherios Venizelos Avenue, is a historic and iconic thoroughfare in Athens. Linking Syntagma Square to Omonia Square, the street is renowned for its neoclassical landmarks and cultural significance.
