Greece's Rebrain Greece program heads to London for the third time, attempting to woo highly skilled Greek professionals in the U.K. back hom

The Greek government is expanding its "brain regain" program to include public sector workers, offering returning Greeks a 50% income tax cut for seven years.

The ReBrain Greece event on Dec. 7, 2025, brought together more than 30 leading Greek companies and over 1,300 registered Greek professionals from the United States and Canada.

According to official data, by 2024, approximately 350,000 of the estimated 600,000–680,000 Greeks who emigrated between 2010 and 2021 had returned home.

More Greeks are returning home. Though economic challenges and a persistent brain drain continue to shape the country's migration trends.

Greek Labor Minister says improved salaries and working conditions, and a stronger economy will help attract specialized human resources.
