As Europe’s cannabis industry accelerates, Greece is preparing to place itself firmly on the map with the return of the Athens Cannabis Expo 2026, scheduled for May 29-31 at the historic O.SY. Old Depot venue in central Athens. The country’s leading international cannabis exhibition combines medical innovation, education and live entertainment.

While recreational cannabis remains illegal in the country, Greece legalized medical cannabis production and cultivation in recent years, opening the door to foreign investment and pharmaceutical development. The policy shift has gradually transformed the country into an emerging Mediterranean hub for medical cannabis manufacturing and exports.

This year’s expo will feature companies operating across multiple sectors, including CBD products, medical cannabis, industrial hemp, vaporizers, cosmetics, textiles and wellness products. The exhibition will also include conference sessions focused on scientific research, pharmaceutical applications and investment opportunities tied to the rapidly expanding European market.

Beyond business and policy, there will be a parallel music program featuring DJs and live acts, alongside street food installations and cocktail stands. The addition reflects a wider international trend in cannabis expos, which are combining commercial exhibitions with cultural programming aimed at younger and mainstream audiences.

The expo’s primary mission is education — both for consumers and professionals — as cannabis industries worldwide continue to evolve scientifically, commercially and politically. Tickets for the event are already on sale, with early-bird passes available for single-day and three-day access.
