Hip-hop artist Evidence, best known as a member of Dilated Peoples, will return to Athens on July 6 for his first performance in the Greek capital in more than 12 years.

The concert will take place at the Gazarte Roof Stage, where the rapper will bring his signature West Coast sound to an open-air setting overlooking the Acropolis. His previous Athens appearance was in 2014 at the Rap Mayhem Festival, making the upcoming show a long-awaited return for local fans.

Over the course of his career, Evidence has built a reputation for his sample-driven production, understated flow, and cinematic approach to hip-hop. From his work with Dilated Peoples to his solo releases, he has become known for blending dusty beats with intricate lyricism, helping shape a distinctive Los Angeles boom-bap sound.

The July 6 performance promises an evening celebrating both his group legacy and solo catalog, with Gazarte’s rooftop providing the backdrop for one of the summer’s anticipated live hip-hop events in Athens.
