Officially, it’s called The Celebration of Cinema — but in spirit, it’s something far greater: a day that revives the joy of watching films together, shoulder to shoulder in the dark, far from the solitude of streaming and small screens.

Today, October 30, Greece itself becomes one vast movie theater. From Athens to Thessaloniki, from island towns to mountain villages, every cinema opens its doors to audiences with a single ticket price — just €2 for every film, every showing.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, the Cinema Celebration invites everyone, from lifelong cinephiles to casual moviegoers, to rediscover the magic of the big screen.

So, just for today, leave the comfort of your couch and the glow of your home cinema. Pick your film, your favorite company, and your preferred theater, grab your popcorn  and join the biggest cinematic celebration of the year.
