Who says Athens doesn’t do Halloween? For four days — from October 30 to November 2 — the Kypseli Municipal Market will transform into a vibrant, spooky, and delightfully creative world for the first-ever “Athens Halloween Festival”, a celebration that proves Greece is more than ready to embrace the pumpkin spirit.
The historic market on Fokionos Negri Street will come alive with themed installations, eerie props, pop-up shops, workshops, live performances, and a dash of good old-fashioned scare. Whether you’re a die-hard horror fan, a curious family, or just looking for a reason to wear a witch hat in public, this is the place to be.

Because if you didn’t take a photo screaming in front of a creepy prop, did it even happen? The festival promises Instagram-worthy backdrops and installations that balance fear with fun.
Trick or Treat Corners
Grab your pumpkin baskets! Sweet treats and candies await at every corner — not just for the little ones, but for the young at heart too.
Performances & Screenings

Why Go?
Because where else can you carve pumpkins, get chased by ghosts, laugh at Halloween-themed comedy, and sip hot wine — all under one (possibly haunted) roof? The Athens Halloween Festival is about community, creativity, and letting your imagination run wild. It’s a rare chance to meet fellow Halloween lovers, support local artists, and step — just for a few hours — into a delightfully different world.
Who’s It For?
Everyone! Families, groups of friends, cosplayers, horror fans, and anyone who wants to celebrate something fun and out of the ordinary in the heart of Athens.
The Vision
The organisers aim to build Greece’s biggest Halloween-themed event, bringing together fans, creators, and visitors in a space full of imagination, inspiration, and (just enough) fright. Each visitor becomes part of a growing “spooky community” that celebrates art, fantasy, and the joy of creative play.
