Freek authorities are intensifying efforts to locate 16-year-old Laura, extending the Amber Alert for another 48 hours after new witness statements failed to produce a breakthrough in the case.

The extension was ordered by a prosecutor as police searches have so far yielded no results. Investigators are now assessing fresh testimony from outside Greece while continuing to re-examine the teenager’s family environment and personal background.

Reported Sighting in Berlin Under Review

One of the latest leads comes from Berlin, where a witness reported seeing a girl resembling Laura at a subway station. According to the account, the girl was heard speaking German and saying, “I’m not going back; you should break up with him.” Authorities are currently evaluating the credibility of the testimony, which has not yet been confirmed.

Parents Recalled for Questioning

At the same time, Laura’s parents were called again to give statements to police in the western Greek city where the investigation is being coordinated. Authorities are examining the possibility of questioning them separately, as the girl’s mother has not appeared publicly since the disappearance.

Testimony From School Environment

Information provided by individuals from Laura’s school environment describes her relationship with her mother as positive, while suggesting she feared her father. The same testimonies indicate that the teenager had engaged in self-harm.
