Weather in Greece

The weather in Greece today, Wednesday, January 29 is expected to bring a brief change in conditions compared to the fair, warm, and sunny weather that the country has been experiencing the past week. Rain, scattered thunderstorms, and humidity will characterize Wednesday.

The African dust lingering in the atmosphere will generate fog in the morning and evening and turn to rain—mud rain- especially in western areas.

Light to moderate rain will first begin in the west of Greece and thunderstorms will develop over the Ionian Sea, Epirus, and western Central Greece.

Gradually, rainfall will spread to the mountainous areas of Thessaly, Macedonia, and, to a lesser extent, locally in Thrace. A few localized showers are expected in the eastern Aegean and southern Peloponnese, with passing clouds in the rest of the country.
