Μake us preferred on Google Fuel prices in Greece remain stubbornly high, with the nationwide average for 95-octane unleaded gasoline reaching €2.199 per liter on Tuesday, September 22.
According to data on average retail fuel prices across the country, 100-octane unleaded averaged €2.421, while automotive diesel stood at €2.227. Autogas (LPG) came in at a national average of €1.006.
Regional differences are significant. The Cyclades recorded the highest average price for 95-octane at €2.414, followed by the Dodecanese at €2.317 and Evrytania at €2.276. At the other end of the scale, Florina posted the lowest average at €2.152, with Serres at €2.167 and Imathia at €2.168.
In Attica, 95-octane averaged €2.181, 100-octane €2.423, diesel €2.212 and Autogas €0.980.
The Cyclades led the country not only for regular unleaded but also for premium fuel and diesel, with 100-octane climbing to €2.599 and diesel to €2.397. Prices were similarly steep in the Dodecanese, where 95-octane sold for €2.317, 100-octane for €2.503 and diesel for €2.305. In Evrytania, the corresponding figures were €2.276, €2.513 and €2.323.

Prices elsewhere in Greece
In Thessaloniki, drivers paid an average of €2.182 for 95-octane, €2.410 for 100-octane and €2.216 for diesel. Achaia recorded €2.183, €2.426 and €2.230 respectively, while in Larissa the figures were €2.186, €2.409 and €2.217.
On Crete, prices varied by prefecture. In Heraklion, 95-octane averaged €2.231 and diesel €2.262, compared with €2.210 and €2.245 in Chania.
