With his face covered, the defendant entered the courthouse shortly before 1 p.m. and remained inside for about an hour.
The 55-year-old requested and was granted an extension to testify before the investigating magistrate this coming Friday.
Until then, he will remain in custody at the Laconia Police Headquarters in Sparta, where he is being held until the testimony process is complete.
