Authorities were placed on high alert after two underage girls, both 17 years old, fell from the rooftop of an apartment building on Eleftherios Venizelos Avenue in Ilioupoli.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred shortly after noon, when the two girls went up to the rooftop of the sixth floor and fell together into the void below, under circumstances that remain unclear.

Ambulances from the National Emergency Medical Service (EKAV) and a significant police presence rushed to the scene. One of the two minors succumbed to her injuries, while the other was transferred to Asklepieio Voulas Hospital in critical condition.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the serious incident and collecting witness statements and testimonies from residents of the building.
