Greece’s National Tourism Organization (GNTO) is hosting the Santorini – Mykonos Tourism Forum with events and activities on the two islands through to October 11.
The six-day event brings together GNTO directors from its offices abroad, local government representatives, tourism industry stakeholders and media professionals who will exchange knowhow, share key insights from international markets, discuss travel trends, and ways to promote lesser-known aspects of the two iconic islands.
“Santorini and Mykonos are two of the strongest international brands in Greek tourism. Their global recognition is a significant asset, but it also presents a challenge; we have to continue enriching their image by highlighting the elements that make them unique; to go beyond the iconic status they already hold in the minds of international travelers,” said Andreas Fiorentinos, Secretary General GNTO.

Fiorentinos said the forum served as “a vital link” between GNTO representatives working daily in key international markets and the destinations themselves.
“The GNTO’s strategy involves creating more reasons for people to visit Greece all year round and to discover more experiences at every destination,” he added. “Santorini and Mykonos are two global brands that still have many stories to tell.”
The forum is organized with the support of the municipalities of Mykonos and Thira (Santorini), with events and activities taking place on both islands.
