France has refused to allow Israel to use its airspace to transport U.S. weapons intended for use in the war against Iran, according to a Western diplomat and two sources familiar with the matter.

The decision, which reportedly occurred over the weekend, marks the first time France has denied such access since the start of the conflict involving Iran.

The sources said the denial prevents Israel from using French airspace to move American military equipment linked to ongoing operations in the Iran war.

The development highlights a shift in logistical cooperation among Western allies as the conflict continues to escalate.
