Deep Purple will return to Greece on October 13, 2026, for a concert at Telekom Center Athens, bringing more than five decades of rock history to the Greek capital.

The band, whose music has helped define the sound of rock for generations, will make a single Athens appearance with Jayler, an emerging UK act, as the special guest.

Few bands have built a musical legacy as enduring as Deep Purple. Over more than five decades, the group has released a string of successes, played countless sold-out shows and earned induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, cementing its status as one of rock’s most influential bands.

Songs including “Smoke on the Water” and “Highway Star” remain central to the band’s musical legacy and continue to influence new generations of musicians. Deep Purple’s live performances have likewise reinforced their role as pioneers of hard rock.

Their music has also continued to reach new audiences. “Child in Time,” originally released in 1970, recently featured in a renewed version in the trailer for the new season of the blockbuster series Stranger Things. The appearance introduced one of rock’s iconic songs to millions of younger listeners and renewed international interest in the band’s distinctive sound.

The Athens concert also comes after the success of Deep Purple’s 2024 album =1, underscoring the band’s continued creative activity and enduring relevance.

The October 13 performance at Telekom Center Athens will pair the veteran rock group with Jayler, creating a lineup that brings together one of the defining bands of classic rock and a rising act from the UK’s newer rock scene.
