Μake us preferred on Google Children will get the chance to explore screen printing and create their own artworks at a free workshop at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) on September 5, as part of the educational program accompanying the exhibition Barbara Kruger: Untitled (Pride and Contempt). The exhibition presents the work of American artist Barbara Kruger, whose practice brings together bold visual imagery and text to examine ideas around identity, power and society. The exhibition provides the creative starting point for a series of educational workshops that introduce children to elements of Kruger’s artistic language and methods.
Titled “Screen Printing for Kids: Prints with an Imprint,” the two-hour workshop introduces children to a technique frequently used by Kruger, whose art is known for combining imagery with striking words and statements.

Drawing inspiration from Kruger’s work, participants will learn the basics of screen printing before creating their own prints. They will then add words and slogans that express their ideas and personalities, turning the workshop into an opportunity to experiment with both image and language.
The workshop is part of a series of four educational sessions organized in connection with the exhibition, each using visual activities to introduce children to different aspects of Kruger’s artistic practices.
Designed for children ages 7 to 11, the workshop will take place indoors at the Children’s Workshop at the National Library of Greece at the SNFCC.
Participation is free and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with space limited to 20 participants.
The workshop is designed and led by visual artist Vivian Emmanouilidou.
