Spectators at the Hellenic Air Force Academy were treated to a breathtaking drone show last Saturday, November 8, as part of celebrations honoring the Greek Air Force.
The skies over Decelea were filled with dozens of illuminated drones forming intricate shapes, including fighter jets, helicopters, pilot helmets, and the Air Force motto “Αιέν Υψικρατείν” (“Ever to Excel”). The display combined tradition and cutting-edge technology, captivating audiences of all ages.
Symbolic aerial battle
The highlight of the show came when a blue drone fighter, painted in the colors of the Greek flag, “shot down” a red drone fighter in a dramatic choreographed sequence. The performance was widely interpreted as a symbolic victory of Greece over Turkey, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
