The mother of a 27-year-old construction worker from Chalkida, found burned in a car in Skourta, Boeotia, last Friday, has passed away from a heart attack, unable to bear the grief of losing her son.

Details of the Crime

Authorities revealed that the young man had been lured to Vilia via a dating app, but instead of a meeting, he fell into a well-organized trap. Reports suggest he was held captive for about 24 hours, tortured, and then shot. His body was then placed in the car, which was set on fire to destroy evidence.

Police believe the murder occurred elsewhere, with the car later moved to the remote location where it was discovered. The vehicle had been reported stolen in May from Glyfada and carried license plates from another car in Pieria, pointing to the involvement of a professional criminal network.

Key Evidence: The Victim’s Phone

Investigators are focusing on the victim’s mobile phone, still missing, which is believed to contain critical information about the perpetrators and their network. Authorities are optimistic that the case will soon lead to the identification of those responsible.
