The boy was bitten during the early morning hours and was taken to the Hospital “Achillopouleio” to receive the necessary medical care.
Emergency sea transfer
The Hellenic Coast Guard organized an emergency transfer after it was determined that the child needed to reach the hospital as quickly as possible.
The 10-year-old was transported from the port of Alonnisos to Volos aboard a passenger-tourist vessel.
The transfer was deemed urgent so the boy could be examined by doctors and receive the appropriate treatment without delay.
