Μake us preferred on Google Two passenger-tourist vessels collided in the sea region off Voutoumi Bay on Antipaxos islet in the northern Ionian Sea on Tuesday, according to initial reports.
One of the vessels, which was carrying 10 people, reached the new port of Paxoi. Three passengers were taken to the local health center as a precaution for medical checks.
The second large tourist vessel, carrying 203 people, was sailing under its own power toward the port of Corfu, accompanied by a coast guard patrol vessel. All passengers were reported to be in good health.
There were no reports of water entering either vessel following the collision.
Paxoi, also known as the Paxos islands, is a small Ionian island group southwest of large Corfu that includes Paxos and the smaller island of Antipaxos. The area is a popular summer destination for day trips and recreational boating.
