An unthinkable tragedy unfolded Tuesday afternoon just outside the village of Rachoula, near the central Greek city of Larissa, when a 58-year-old man lost his life in a workplace accident.
According to reports, the victim was employed by a company contracted to clear overgrown vegetation in the area and was operating a tractor at the time of the accident.
While carrying out maintenance work, and under circumstances that remain unclear, the vehicle reportedly overturned and plunged into a ravine from a height of approximately 10 meters.
The accident occurred near a small chapel, where the worker had been clearing grass and vegetation in the surrounding courtyard area.
The violent fall caused the tractor to crush the man, killing him instantly.
Authorities are investigating the exact circumstances that led to the fatal accident, while the local community of Rahoula remains deeply shaken by the sudden loss of the worker.
