Turkey is accusing Israel, of running a coordinated disinformation campaign aimed, it claims, at diverting international attention away from the war in Gaza and the policies of the Israeli government.

A statement from Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that recent remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are part of an organized disinformation effort. The ministry firmly rejected the accusations being made against Ankara.

The statement said the baseless claims recently circulated by Israeli officials, with a notable degree of coordination and timing, are part of a disinformation campaign. The Turkish Foreign Ministry added that Netanyahu and his allies are deliberately distorting any criticism directed at them and are attempting to shift the agenda through a systematic propaganda campaign.

Ankara argues that the international community is no longer convinced by Israel’s positions, and it reiterated its accusations against the Israeli government over its military operations in Gaza and its broader policy in the region.
