Attica Stores is entering a new phase of growth, expanding its portfolio of premium brands while investing in physical stores, e-commerce and a new Attica Beauty Store concept.

The Greek department store group reported a 7% increase in sales to €113.6 million in the first half of 2026, while comparable after-tax profit rose 4.7% to €7.1 million.

The company has remained on track with its targets for the rest of the year, with both its online channel and physical stores continuing to grow.

Lululemon and Skims expand their presence

The company’s physical store network added more than 60 new brands during the first half of 2026.

Sales across the network increased 6.3% compared with the same period in 2025, while foot traffic remained stable. The number of transactions rose 3.6%, and the average transaction value increased 2.5%, reflecting what the company described as a positive response to its expanded product offering and shopping experience.

Among the latest additions is Lululemon, which recently opened on the third floor of the Attica department store at City Link in central Athens.

It is the Canadian brand’s third location in Greece through Arion Group, following its stores at 17 Akadimias and Voukourestiou streets in Kolonaki and at Golden Hall.

Attica Stores has also added Skims, the brand founded by Kim Kardashian. The brand is available at Attica locations in Athens, Marousi and Thessaloniki, including Tsimiski and Mediterranean Cosmos, as well as online.

Tax-free sales gain ground

Tax-free sales to customers from countries outside the European Union increased by about 2%, despite a slowdown in the first quarter of 2026 amid geopolitical conditions.

Stronger tourism during the second and third quarters provided an additional boost. Tax-free purchases now account for more than 10% of total sales, although the company expects the share to fluctuate depending on tourism levels.

E-commerce continues to grow

The Attica Stores e-commerce operation has recorded stronger growth, supported by an expanding product range of more than 60,000 product codes.

Online sales increased 23% compared with the same period in 2025, while traffic to the online store rose 22%.

The e-commerce operation is recording growth of more than 25%, while the company’s physical locations are about 8% higher.

The company said the performance of its key operating indicators, combined with the growth of its online store, highlights the strength of a business model that connects its physical and digital customer channels.

Attica Stores is also continuing investments in its information technology systems and support operations. These include installing a new point-of-sale system, expanding its customer relationship management and loyalty applications, and moving its logistics operations to a third-party logistics (3PL) model.

Attica Beauty Store expansion

The company is also moving ahead with its Elevation Project, a major investment plan under which it has invested €21 million over the past three years to upgrade its infrastructure, product offering and customer experience.

Its 2026-2030 Strategic Development Plan calls for annual investments of €7 million, aimed at strengthening its position in premium and luxury retail through organic growth, an expanded presence and further investment in physical and digital channels.

A key part of the strategy is the development of the Attica Beauty Store chain, with plans for four to six locations.

The first store is set to open at The Mall Athens in Marousi in the coming days, building on the growth of the company’s online beauty sales.

Attica Stores is also renovating its department store at Cosmos, changing the space’s focus by reducing the area dedicated to casual clothing and giving more room to cosmetics.
