Ingredients

Serves 4-6
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp powdered gelatin
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups mango purée
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Pour the water into a small saucepan and sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface. Let it sit for about 3 minutes to soften.

  2. Place the saucepan over low heat and stir gently until the gelatin has completely dissolved.

  3. Add the sugar and stir again until fully dissolved. Be careful not to let the mixture boil, as high heat will reduce the effectiveness of the gelatin.

  4. Stir in the mango purée, heavy cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and fully combined.

  5. Divide the mixture into serving glasses or dessert bowls. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours—or up to 2 days—before serving.

Recipe Tips

For an extra vibrant flavor and presentation, top the panna cotta with fresh mango cubes or a light mango coulis just before serving.
