Greek authorities are investigating a series of violent incidents in the northern suburbs of Athens, where a 28-year-old delivery rider is accused of carrying out sudden attacks on pedestrians, mainly women, before quickly fleeing the scene on his motorcycle.

The incidents reportedly took place across several affluent residential areas, including Kifisia, Dionysos, and Politeia. According to police reports and witness statements, the suspect targeted women while riding his motorbike, throwing stones at them in what authorities describe as brief but violent encounters. According to preliminary findings, the suspect, originally from Pakistan, was working as a delivery rider in the area.

Investigators say the man would immediately leave the area after each attack, making it difficult for victims or bystanders to react or identify him at the time.

So far, authorities have ruled out robbery as a motive, as there is no evidence that the suspect attempted to steal belongings from his victims.

At least five attacks under investigation

Police believe the 28-year-old may be responsible for at least five separate incidents involving attacks on women and one man over a recent period. Some of the victims have reportedly identified him, and investigators are reviewing surveillance footage in an effort to determine the full scope of his actions.

Two of the victims sustained serious injuries. One woman suffered chest injuries, while another was severely injured in the face, losing several teeth and requiring stitches to both her upper and lower jaw.

Additional reported attacks include incidents in Dionysos and Politeia, where witnesses described sudden and chaotic scenes lasting only a few seconds.

Sudden and unpredictable assaults

Victims have described the attacks as unexpected and extremely brief, leaving them with no time to respond or defend themselves. The nature of the incidents suggests a pattern of rapid, targeted assaults followed by immediate escape.
