Today, two of the four defendants were brought to court, where they requested and were granted extra time to prepare their testimony. Their two co-defendants will appear before the investigating judge tomorrow.
The New Indictment
According to judicial sources, the new indictment concerns how the individual acts committed by the four defendants are classified.
Specifically, the four people arrested for the arson attack now face charges under paragraph 1 of Article 187A of the Penal Code, which covers terrorist acts and terrorist organizations. These provisions carry the heaviest penalties if the four defendants are referred to trial and found guilty.
