A dispute over a parking space escalated into a physical altercation between a man and a woman in the centre of a town in northern Greece, highlighting growing tensions over urban parking availability.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Argos Orestiko, when the two drivers attempted to occupy the same parking spot in a busy area.
What began as a verbal exchange quickly intensified into a confrontation, with both individuals trading insults and accusations. According to local reports, the situation escalated further after the woman allegedly made a provocative gesture toward the man, which triggered a violent response.
The argument soon turned into a physical fight in the middle of the street, causing disruption and alarm among passers-by. Local residents and shopkeepers intervened to separate the two individuals and prevent further escalation.
Both parties sustained minor injuries and abrasions during the incident. They were initially taken to a local health centre for first aid before being transferred to the local police station.
Despite the severity of the confrontation, no formal complaints were ultimately filed. Authorities confirmed that the situation was resolved without further legal proceedings or arrests.
