Police in Peristeri, a western suburb of Athens, arrested seven minors following complaints from residents about repeated incidents of violence in the area.
The incident took place on Sunday night, when officers were called to the intersection of Ptolemaidas and Pagason streets after receiving repeated reports from local residents.
According to the complaints, groups of dozens of teenagers had reportedly been gathering in the area in recent days and engaging in fights with each other.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested seven minors aged between 14 and 17. Two of them were of Albanian origin, while the others were Greek nationals, including members of the Roma community.
During the investigation, authorities found that the teenagers had been keeping a collection of weapons and other dangerous items at their homes.
The items discovered included knuckle-dusters, knives, pocket knives, kitchen knives, as well as firecrackers containing nails.
