The Greek Ministry of Tourism has issued an official statement expressing profound grief following the death of a 51-year-old employee who fell from the second floor of its headquarters in central Athens on Monday morning.
According to the statement, the ministry’s political leadership conveyed its “deepest sorrow” over the tragic loss and extended sincere condolences to the woman’s family and loved ones.
Emergency services responded immediately, and she was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. However, doctors were unable to save her, as she had already succumbed to her injuries.
Greek police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials confirmed that further updates will be provided once the inquiry progresses.
The fatal fall occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. under unclear conditions. Emergency services transported the woman by ambulance to Evangelismos Hospital, where her death was confirmed.
